The INYC's Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) Firewall is a fully integrated security solution that provides residential and business clients network security at an affordable price.

The firewall is fully integrated into the CPE and is configured from the INYC Network Operating Center (NOC) following your DSL installation.

The Firewall monitors Internet Protocol (IP) traffic arriving at the router and compares the packets to previously defined descriptions of acceptable and non-acceptable packets. THis firewall is available in two configurations:

Standard Configuration

• Incoming File Transfer Protocol (FTP), World Wide Web (WWW) and Telnet packets allowed

• All outgoing packets from local sources to remote destinations are passed

Custom Configuration

• Deny access to specific IP addresses

• Cracking Prevention to protect network from outside attack by enabling Scan Detection and

• Anti-Spoofing features

• Allow or deny any of the following incoming or outgoing application types:
